Nonprofit Grant Strategist, Grant Writing Simplified
Teresa Huff is a TEDx speaker and Grant Writing Simplified Podcast host.
She has a Master’s in Education and has been a professional freelance grant writer for schools and non-profits since 2005. She has successfully written grants at the federal, state, local, and corporate foundation levels, bringing in several million dollars for clients. She has also conducted external evaluations of federal and state grant programs.
Teresa has a variety of experiences with other writing clients including commercial appraisers, attorneys, and local magazines. Along the way, she was also the Director of Corporate Development for “Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Small Businesses” real estate investment company. She was instrumental in developing their processes for more efficient operations and creating online courses for in-house corporate training.
Teresa was published in 2007 as a co-author of The Block Academy PreK “Builders” curriculum, a partnership of MegaBloks, Inc. and DEPCO, LLC.
She graduated with a 4.0 Master’s degree and a summa cum laude Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Special Education and 1-6 Elementary Ed, with the Outstanding Student in Elementary Education Award to her credit.
Cathi Hight

Cathi Hight is President of Hight Performance Group based in Austin TX, an organizational development firm that helps develop healthy organizations to manage constant change, develop customer loyalty and “work smarter, not harder.” Cathi facilitates strategic planning, develops investor models and strategies, and helps leaders navigate trends and prepare for the future.
She has over 30 years of experience in performance improvement, strategic planning, board development, and membership development within association, chamber, education, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit, and technology sectors.
She is a certified Motorola University instructor for continuous improvement and Wiley Authorized Partner for Everything DiSC and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
Cathi is recognized nationally for her work with member-based organizations and is the creator of The Member Retention Kit and A New Approach to Tiered Membership, and the Work Smarter, Not Harder program. She provides resources to help orgnizations stay relevant, effectively communicate the value of membership, and increase their bottom line.
She has presented at many state and national conferences for associations and chambers of commerce and has been an instructor for Institute for Organization Management (IOM) since 2004.
